I am still trying to catch up on life and procrastinating in finishing a school paper. I will get to it after this. ha Remember those words from our childhood days?

The Olympics start this coming week. I like the stamps the U S has created for the event. Watch for them on letters and cards.

I love to knit, wish I was better at it but I'll get there. There are so many knitters out there signing up and participating in an The Knitting Olympics. They will start a project on the first day of the Olympics and (hopefully) have it finished for the closing ceremonies. I am not participating in this Olympics, but I do plan to keep in touch with those who are and check in on their progress. I would LOVE to go to these Olympics I can only imagine how wonderful the city of Torino (Turin to us) will be to all the visitors there. My sister and I went to Athens in 2004 and loved it. There have been four of us in our family that have been to different Olympics. It starts with Sarajevo, Calgary and Athens. I don't remember all the detail but I think another sister carried The Torch for just a bit through her town. (Family help me here with this one.)

I hope these are not our last Olympics to attend. You really see a brotherhood of athletes that you don't see anywhere else. I will never forget the French family sitting behind us one night with the kids bickering (just like at home) and the Swedish men I sat next to on our last night there. Their high jumper beat us out for the gold. They were great!

So my hats off to the Torino Olympics which start this coming week! Go Team USA! Go Team Italia! Here is the torch making it's way through Venezia (Venice). How's that for Italian?
