I AM MY MOTHER'S DAUGHTER!

There I said it. Its simple really. When I was a kid my Mother belonged to a "Sewing Circle". This was a group of ladies from her church that met every other Wednesday night. Each person would take turns hosting the meet. This was always fascinating to me for several reasons; I liked to see what they were working on (usually mending socks or embroidering pillow cases); the coffee in the percolator smelt so good and I never saw so many treats and goodies in the house before. ha The ladies visited with each other and yes there was a bit of gossip involved.

So, this all brings me to a part of me and who I am. I realized this morning that I have always been part of a circle of women. I have been a Brownie, Girl Scout, member of the Pep Club, a circle of girlfriends, baseball Moms and now Knitting Groups. I have a few which I participate in. I enjoy meeting new people (mostly ladies) and I learn so much from them.

Here's a picture from last Thursday night's Knit Meet. The meets are open to everyone and it is a "come when you can" types of groups. If you don't knit now - think about learning. It is awkward at first - but so was learning how to hold a pencil and pen.
