Kitchen Windowsill

Okay - I hope this doesn't sound lame. I figure we all have one, they do have a functional use and usually everyone has something on them. Only a bare naked house doesn't. So this evening I picked some Lilacs to put in the vase and thought what a better place to enjoy them than the Kitchen Windowsill. It wasn't long before their fragrance was floating through the room. I think the steam from the faucet below it helped.
Also on the windowsill are some treasured mementoes from friends. The little Bri
ghton clock always makes me think of Harry Potter when I see it. It has a whimsical gypsy look to it. The cobalt blue theme just sort of happened. The cup was a gift from my friend Laura. I didn't get to go on a trip and they stayed at the Washington D.C. Ritz. So she gave me the cup. I think this cup started the cobalt blue theme. So this brings up the question: "What is on your Kitchen Windowsill?"
Ciao!

a bulb of garlic!
actually, I don't have one! the kitchen is "open" with the sink facing the breakfast nook and has a shelf above it; I guess that almost counts. Right the moment it has fixings for a turkey dinner on it.
I love your cobalt blue.
Sigh. My tiny apartment kitchen doesnt even have a window.
Yours is pretty though!
