Family Easter Traditions - Crecia (Cheese Bread)

When we were little our Zia Peppa (Aunt Josephine) always made us one loaf of Crecia for Easter. It was round, baked in a pot, and wrapped in foil. We loved it. It has an aroma all it's own. The bread is made with Picarino Romano and Asaigo cheeses. We made ours yesterday. It is wonderful!

Crecia is great to eat alone or with some hard salami or ham. Ciao

Oh, YUM! I think you need to bring along a loaf, or two, of that to Borders one Thursday night! : )

How hard is it to make? Could you post the recipe or maybe just email to people who inquire (hint, hint).
How nice to have family traditions!
My mouth is watering.
My sister has my cook book with the recipe. I will try to post it later. It is an acquired taste. If you can make homemade bread - sans breadmaker - it just doesn't do well, you can make this bread.
Shelly - it was out in the car last Thursday night. So close yet so far away. ha
