Lazy Days of Summer

We are still very hot here. The bank clock read 102F at 2:00 pm today. I picked the garden early while it was still comfortable outside. Groucho was very busy protecting our garden from the Cardinal Family. Seems that mom and day took junior out for a test flight today. It didn't take long for Groucho to leave my side in a mad dash and scare them away. Then he laid there underneath the okra to make sure they didn't come back. As I continued to harvest the okra, tomatoes and basil he decided he could see much better from the bench. He is just a delight to have with us out in the yard. It's like he wants to help us.
