My 5 Top Leading Men

1. Cary Grant takes the number one spot - ALWAYS! Today TCM is playing Cary's movies all day. I've read about him in the past - but today when I watched "She Done Him Wrong" with Mae West - I heard the famous misquoted line - "Why don't you come up sometime and see me?"
There will never be another Cary Grant, but of the actors today I think George Clooney may be as close as we will ever get.



2. Rock Hudson made me swoon. I loved the Doris Day movies, but I think my all time favorite is "Come September" with Gina Lolabridgida. He remain an all time favorite to me.




3. Dean Martin and his voice is music to my ears. I listen to his CDs while driving the Happy Car. I enjoyed watching him every Thursday evening when I was a kid. Last year my DH gave me the VHS tapes of his show and the Roasts. Such a joy to watch when home on a sick day.









4. I enjoy Colin Firth in his more light and comical movies versus the dark movies that he makes. He is splendid in Brigitte Jones' Diary as Mark Darcy. I love the way says, "Right." Simply British.


5. Hugh Jackmann fits the bill here. I recently watched "Kate and Leopold" and enjoyed him so much. I would like to see him in "Oklahoma!"







HONORABLE MENTION: Simon Baker. I saw him in "The Devil Wears Prada" and he was a very interesting character. I look for him to make more movies and become a bigger star.
