Lazy Weekend

I have been home nursing some dental work since last Thursday. So by Saturday the cabin fever was hitting home. DH and I had a nice breakfast at Don's Alley and then off to do errands. I have a really packed scheduled between now and the holidays so I am trying to do as much as I can as early as I can. We now have some Christmas things in the garage which will be displayed on the Friday after Thanksgiving. A dear friend of mine in Norway, Britt, reminds us that Christmas does not start until the first Sunday in Advent.

Las night was a blast as usual. The knit-in at gourmet yarn was fun and entertaining. I have a few pictures here - but since Kay wrote up a great post - please check it out on her blog. Truly a knee slapping time. And by the way - I did not buy any yarn last night.

Today is a grey dark rainy day. The leaves are still on the trees, but I hear thunder out there. I cut down the banana trees this morning. So "Yes Sir, we have no bananas. We have no bananas today." Maybe next year. The roots have been put to bed with two new starter trees. I hope we get more trees next year even if we don't get bananas.

Italian Wedding Soup is cooking in the crockpot and it sure does smell good. Come on over for a bowl. I don't think DH will mind giving up his. This soup has spinach in it. ha (I yam what I yam. Popeye)

Primer and Groucho are now buds. They run through this house like it is on fire. I'm suprised more things have not been knocked down off the walls.

Have a great week - check out the links I have here for some fun and interesting reading.
Ciao!
