Winter Knitting Fun

There are some places we go in our lives in which we ALWAYS have a great time. Going to the Knit-In at Gourmet Yarn is just a place. Last night we had a very full house. I pooped out and left and hour early. Winter nights just wear me out. As you can see on the tables there was plenty of knitting and eating. Chocolate was the main course on the dessert table.

I am working on a scarf for number one son. He asked me to knit him one using black and red yarn. Black yarn gets very difficult to work with - because I make mistakes and have to find and correct them. ha

We celebrated MGs birthday. She is a fellow January birthday girl! Now what on earth can you get for a woman who owns her own yarn shop, can get and use any lovely skein of yarn she desires and works almost 24/7? Some of us went in together and got her just what she would not go out and buy for herself. RED HEAR Yarn! LOL We know she will donate it to the Knit Wits who knit afghans for cancer patients. But the look on her face is priceless.

I don't have a picture, nor the audio link which you are very lucky for, of the song Bev and I sang for the group. We should have offered our apologies to Mr.s Rogers and Hammerstein. We sang this little song that has been floating out their in the ethernet.

SNOW-KLAHOMA
SNOW-klahoma,
Where the cold fronts sweepin' down the plain;
And the piles of sleet beneath your feet
Follow right behind the freezing rain.
SNOW-klahoma, Ev'ry night my honey lamb and I
Travel home from work and hope some jerk
Doesn't wreck our car in passing by.
We know we belong to the land
But it could use more salt and more sand!
And when we say Yeeow! Ayipioeeay!
We're only sayin' you're slick as snot,
SNOW-klahoma!
SNOW-klahoma
K-L-A-H-O-M-A (State)!

Ciao - Happy Knitting!
