The North End - Little Italy, Boston MASS
I was lucky enough to be in Boston last week. I was also lucky to have such a great group of friends to go to the North End with me. I kept telling them - "We're on an ADVENTURE!" and off we went on the MBTA to Haymarket stop. It's so surreal to come up out of the ground and bam you are in a world with people walking and talking and life going on around you. We had dinner at Lucia's on Hanover St, which I highly recommend. Of course, Mike's Pastry was on the list of stops.
Mike's is always buzzing and full of people. Sometimes the Bostonians have a little aire about them - but not this one lady. She was just a little older than me and she was afraid she was taking cuts in front of me. I told her that was fine I was in no hurry. We struck up a conversation and before you knew it she had her order and we were hugging good-bye. I love those short impromptu meetings. It's like meeting someone you were destined to meet in life, for whatever reason. Both of you sense that certain familiarity and just accept it.

Yes, I brought home another box full. This picture was take yesterday morning. I can't show you what it looks like today out of embarassment. I think I have one left for dessert tonight.

Words of Wisdom - GO TO BOSTON AND THE NORTH END! Do directly pass GO, collect $200 dollars and spend them at the restaurants, shops and MIKE'S PASTRY!
Ciao!
