Good Morning London
We woke up early on Saturday morning to hit the road. Trust me, London is not a sleepy little town. We left the hotel at 6:30 and picked up more tourists along the way. It was nice to see the neighborhoods in their quite slumber. Cars are parked up and down the street. I would hate to think how far a homeowner would have to park his car. Yes, this Thanksgiving I will be thankful for 2 car garages and driveways.
Meet His Royal Highness Prince Albert. This is a memorial for him. It is huge and very nicely done. I believe Kensington Palace is at the opposite end of this park. However, right across the street is the Royal Albert Hall. I went inside to check on getting some tickets for an ABBA concert. They weren't ready to check on things and I was late getting on the bus. (Oops)
From the bus we were able to see the full view of Parliment. It is a beautiful building. I hope the waters in the Thames (pronounced Tims) don't rise too high.
You can't look at Westminister Abbey Catherdal and not think of all the history this Catherdal has seen. Imagine standing on the same street which royalty has walked. We didn't have time to tour it - that will be on the list for next time. Westminister Abbey is where Princess Dianna's funeral was held.
