HARRODS - need I say more?
Our first night we went downtown to Harrods. A couple of first experiences such as a taxi ride in those really cool taxis and Harrods. I took this picture before we left and it was all lit up, which reminded us of the holiday season.

This was a must to see. I've heard about it and have seen it on tv. There were several people there taking pictures and dropping coins in the fountain beneath the picures.
Is it payday and you can't decide where to do your grocery shopping? Don't worry your poor little head any further. Harrods has a grocery store and deli. It was very interesting to see all the different cultures and countries represented here. I think there were more lookers than buyers. I wonder what those people on the computers placing orders were buying. hmmmmm
Everybody turns into a kid when you are in the candy store, no matter how old you are. Marshmallow seems to be a big thing here. Lots of candy made from it. I can't even tell you how good the chocolate looked.
This window treatment has pictures of actors, actresses and other famous patrons. I knew better than to take a picture in the jewelry department, but they could melt ice with all the lights and sparkley diamonds. Whew! It all made my head spin. Funny thing - not one clerk asked us if we needed any help. hmmmmm
Yes, you know I never met a stranger. (Roz, that's me.) This kind doorman helped us find a restaurant for dinner and would get a taxi for other customers. Green seems to be the Harrod color.
The neighborhood was quite exquisite. The architecture alone is eye catching. Once again a lot of people getting off work and walking most everywhere they need to go. See the red bus? Loved them. Didn't get a chance to ride on one - but saw them everywhere.
