Last Day of the Country Tour
This is Wales! It was cool and foggy this morning. We are on our way to Llangollen 'o the Dee Valley. We take a lovely ride over the hills and enjoyed the quaintness of the land.
Isn't he cute? The lambs seemed so tame. We stopped the bus and took some pictures. I wonder what he is thinking of us.
You know it is true British country when you pass an old abbey. This is Valle Crucis Abbey, Valley of the Cross. Hey wait a minute - is this an ABC tour or what?
The sleepy little town of Llangollen welcomed us with some shopping, warm tea and 20p to pee.

We drive on to Chester. Looks like another Cathedral.
The day was so beautiful, the town center was full of people walking and shopping. I heard the most delicious accent as I was walking by some gentlemen on the street. It was the very distinguished British accent that I could listen to all day.

The Chester Rows, where shops line the first floor galleries. The Rows were built during the 13th & 14th centuries. They are painted black and white, quite fashionable.

Did I introduce you to Lyndon, our tour guide? Very nice gentleman. He shared stories with us and answered our questions, which he must have heard a million times.
We went down to Covenant Garden on our last night in London to have dinner. We had one more dinner of fish n chips. We sat down and enjoyed a cream tea after walking around the city and seeing how everything was closing. I saw this book store when we exited the tube. I remember the movie with Lauren Bacall, Charring Cross Road, but I don't think this is THE book store, a nice memory anyway.

I have truly loved this, Terri. Thank you so very much!!!!
Oh no, is this all?! I don't want your travelogue to end! Surely more little tidbits will come to mind in the future--be sure to tell them to us--even if you have to jump out of bed at 3 AM and run to the computer. (That's when I usually awaken with some thought that has been lurking in the cob webs of my mind!) Seriously, thank you, Terri, for taking us along on your UK journey--it's been wonderful!
Waaah, it's over! And Wales is my favorite part of the UK.
