Just STUFF

We had some fun with this guy hanging in our front door. I think the following words should be capitalized when using them in the written form. So I will do that here - Autumn, Winter, Summer, Spring - they seem to take on so much more meaning when capitalized.

Why do the traffic lights in the UK change in the following sequence when you stopped, red-yellow-green? It's like the signal light is saying "Get on your mark (red), Get set (yellow), Go (green). I noticed that our bus driver would starting moving on the yellow light.

It is so nice to receive an unexpected package in the mail. I am one who likes surprises - nice ones that is. A very dear kindred spirit, PW, sent me this hank of yarn. It is English Leicester Longwool, from ILLINOIS! Ha I go to England, see the sheep and come home and get the yarn. ha She included some papers about the sheep and it seems there are only about 500 of them here in the US. Thanks so very much PW - I will have to think of something to make from it.

Yes it's so nice to receive a surprise package in the mail, so you can just imagine how I felt receiving TWO surprises in the mail this week. ha I got a package from my oldest sister who has sharpened up her knitting skills again here recently. We've shared stories about our projects, books we've read and just the regular sisterly gab - that's something we both have - the gift of gab.

These nice dish towels, which I promised to use, were keeping two Debbie Macomber books company in the package for the long trip from Houston to OKC. I've read The Shop On Blossom Street; however, I have not read A Good Yarn. Once I went to a yarn store in Seattle,
So Much Yarn, http://www.somuchyarn.com/, which I felt like was the setting for her books.
Thank you PW and big sis I truly appreciate you thinking of me. I will pay it forward.
One more thought - why on this green earth with all the devices we have to filter our drinnking water does it still taste bad when the lake is turning? We get our water from a nearby lake. I have a very keen sense of taste and smell. I can taste the algae in it when the lake turns. That's why I use one of those pitchers with the filters to drink my water. Seems like no one else living in this house can taste it. ha
Enjoy your weekend. I have a great week visiting family and friends. Ciao!
