B is for BOSTON

Another trip to Boston and I am not disappointed. Dinner at the Union Oyster House was very Bostonian - a bag of "steamers" reminds me of summers in Pennsylvania at Grandma K's house and some good old clam chowder. The cornbread was more like cornbread cake. Yummy!

A nice walk-about over to the North End, Little Italy, always thrills me. Once I walked "over" the Big Dig and through the new park, my feet stopped, my nostrils opened wide and my diaphragm took in the smells of this area. Oh solo mio......

Every time, and I do mean every time, these gentlemen are sitting at a small sidewalk cafe table for two having a conversion in Italian. Oh, how I wish I could speak-a-the-language.
Yes, of course, Mike's Pastry is the destination for dessert.I find that I usually get the same apricot, lemon and rugula cookies. This time I got some Pizzelles, too. Some even made it home.
This picture doesn't show itself very well because of the darkness, but I promise you if you saw this in person you would think that you were walking down Diagon Alley from Harry Potter.
I tried to capture the streets of Little Italy for you. Don't take it from me - go there yourself.

When I asked the Concierge for a restaurant recommendation I thought she said "Momma Mia". (You know who I have on my brain.) When the taxi driver said - there it is - he pointed to Momma Maria's. Okay - we'll give it a try. I have eaten at a different restaurant every time I'm in the North End and haven't eaten at a bad one yet.
This church is right across the street from Momma Maria set in the little square.

Good-bye Boston until next time. I've enjoyed Boston in every season, you should too.

This picture doesn't do this yarn justice. It is Adirondack, Trillion, and my plan for it is to become a Forest Canopy Shawl. Wish me luck.
Ciao!
