One for me, Fondue for you....

It was a beautiful Autumn evening when we went out to celebrate a birthday. The crepe myrtles were in the parking lot showing off their wares. This was a new and exciting experience having dinner ala fondue. It has been over 30 years since I had a fondue dinner. My first time was in Breckenridge, Colorado, ski season......Just perfect. This night was fun with friends and a great waiter. We started the dinner with Cheese Fondue. We dipped bread and veggies, mmmm.

Dinner was a variety of Salmon, beef, pork, shrimp and ravioli. A fondue dinner is truly an experience that takes time to enjoy. We were given a tip by someone who had been there before to pick a meat and put ALL of the meat in the pot to cook. Once the meat is done then add some veggies. That was a great idea and worked great. You MUST, I repeat MUST, try the chocolate fondue. Heavenly. It is so good with all the fruits, cakes and treats.

Trust me we asked if we could just come in and have the chocolate fondue and the answer is YYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!

Special days with friends deserve special dinners. After a dinner like this it doesn't seem too bad to getting older. ha I always tell the young ladies I meet, "Never lose your girlfriends!" They will be there for you and with you when you need them. Pass it on.
