Happy New Year!

The first sunset of the new year was a nice soft "peachy" color on blue sky. The camera never seems to do it justice. You have to be quick about it as well because it can change in an instant.

The theme for 2009 seems to be "Doing Fine in '09". I wish us all a big gift of great health and wealth for 2009. I hope we have many beautiful sunsets to share together.

My friend, Britt-Arnhild, calls this time of day "the blue hour" and I agree with her. It is during this time of day I feel the calmest. I usually take a few minutes to reflect on the happenings of the day and the people who influenced me that day. I always seem to look out towards the western sky to see the sunset, then a quick look to the east for my friend the Mr. Moon.

Now to get this new year started and get rid of this bug I got yesterday. Hopefully it will be a 24 hour thing. Knitting and reading comes to mind for simple comforts.
