September Days
Just some random happenings in September, so far. Breakfast at Ingrid's Kitchen. Delicious. Ingrid's will be highlighted on the Food network show Diner's, Drive-ins and Dives. Trust me this is no dive. Excellent German food and sandwiches. Always a treat to go to Ingrid's. On Saturday afternoons they have a band that plays for the older generation. This is awesome. It's like a cocktail party in the afternoon.
Over on north Western Ave is the 42nd Street Candy Store. Highly recommend that you visit it a couple of weeks prior to your favorite holiday, or any holiday for that matter. It is so whimsical with all the holiday candies and decorations.

We have had more than our fair share of rain this month. The rain chain was so pretty with the rain water flowing through it. I know the picture doesn't do it justice.

We had a fantastic visit from our cousin Richard and his wife, Maryanne from Pennsylvania. We visited the Bombing Memorial with them. It was the first time I went into the museum. It is excellent and you must go through it if you can. Quite an experience.

After visiting the memorial most of the afternoon we met with other family members for dinner. We had such a great visit with them. I wish they lived closer.
We had dinner with baby brother and his wife last night. She is a fantastic cook. She loves to try new dishes and is a very sweet hostess. Most importantly, she makes my brother happy.

My camera and computer aren't on speaking terms right now so I hope to post pictures of Axel later.
Today we celebrate FILs 94th birthday. Now that is quite an accomplishment. Longevity runs in his family.
September has been a busy month so far and I know October will be busier.
Ciao!
