This week in review - Part Due`
The Green River runs behind the hotel in Seattle. They are preparing for a flood down the road with the dam in Auburn. It is peaceful right now and I love to see nature in it's natural fiber.I always take the earliest morning flights - less of a chance for a delay. It's a proven fact. I wrote this as I waited for my flight.
We are in the boarding process. There are several military men here catching the flight to Dallas. Their families are allowed to come see them off at the gates. (Thank you Homeland Security for this gesture of humanity.) I see a young solider holding his three month old baby and hugging his wife. Kissing her goodbye, telling her he loves her and holding on to both of them. I look away to give them privacy in such a public place. Then he hugs his 8 year old daughter, standing there in her coat and p.j.s patiently waiting her turn for his hug. I look away again for privacy and to keep my tears that are welling up in my eyes from falling down my face. They are all on board now and the families take themselves home in the darkness of the early morning.
I can only imagine the emptiness they feel when they walk back into their homes. Bless them.
Two days of wintry weather and I stayed home like we are supposed to. It is still snowing and it is pretty. It's always pretty when you don't have to go any where. The ice came first and now the snow. We are watching a branch that will need attention if it starts to get too low and will have a chance of breaking and falling on the car. Ugh - don't want that.

You can't see the snow falling here - but it is and it still is. I've been waiting for this weekend for a long time. Now I'm off to enjoy it.
Ciao!
