Old things - Different thoughts

Some of the things one does when one doesn't feel well. I watched the movie "Pollyanna" last weekend. I didn't like it when I watched it as a child and I thought "Oh well, nothing else is on." So I watched it again. It amazed me how I was looking at it from a new different view on things.
When I was little I thought Aunt Polly - Jane Wyman - was a wretched old woman but now I saw her in a different light. She really did like Pollyanna and wanted to make a good home for her. I also saw how Pollyanna's optimism started to spread to the people she interacted with; wouldn't it be nice if we could all do that!
Sometimes I see the same thing when I watch an old re-run of Leave It To Beaver. I used to think June and Ward were old fuddyduddies - but NOW that I am an adult and parent - they are pretty funny.
Just a little note here to say - Maybe we shouldn't disregard old things and theories - we should look at them in a different light.
Ciao!
